For my internship I volunteered at a local Muay Thai gym. I helped them by cleaning the mats, the gloves and training equipment and the bathrooms. I also sometimes helped teach younger classes when they needed more hands.
The picture above is the younger kids i would help out train. Their classes usually ran from about 4:30-6pm and training included, exercising, training on your footwork, learning how to move around while keeping your hands up, learning how to properly throw kicks and punches, and many other exercises.
I also showed up a hour before the gym opened up for the day and helped prep the gym which included cleaning mits and gloves, arranging the mits on the walls, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning the mats we fight on, cleaning the punching bags, making sure all the machines are functional, and many other jobs.
Working with Round 5 showed me the responsibility of showing up earlier than when you're superposed to be somewhere and doing your work to the fullest and completing all your responsibilities on time. It also showed me that being a teacher to younger groups is hard but fun when what you're trying to do works out. The time i spent as a trainer and prepping the gym showed me how to be a good worker and to stay accountable for what work I am supposed to be completing.
